Installer
Responsibilities
General:
Bremner Marine, LLC will supply installation assignments, locations and complete parts package except cable, cable thimbles and sleeves (explained below). Installation date will be discussed and mutually agreed upon between Bremner Marine, LLC and the installer. Typical installation time is less than one hour of actual work at site. Installer will transmit completion information to Bremner Marine, LLC and a check will be immediately sent to Installer to cover his purchase of cable and an agreed upon installation fee.
Requirements:
Ability to decide where and how to place the BowTrac System on the particular dock in order to be the best fit for the particular boat. Guidelines for this decision will be given by Bremner Marine, LLC during the interview and subsequent training process.
Ability and necessary tools to drill 3/8 Diameter holes (4 places) in steel undercarriage of Dock Finger.
General ability to use standard hand tools (ie. drills, wrenches, sockets & clamps).
Access to a local Wire Rope distributor who can crimp 5/16 inch Stainless Aircraft Cable (7 x 19) using galvanized thimbles and aluminum sleeves to a predetermined length. It would be preferable for the installer to purchase the necessary crimping tool and die from above supplier and personally crimp cable on installation site since the length is determined by the particular placement of the system on the dock. Proper training in the crimping process will be required and must be certified. Bremner Marine, LLC will be helpful in locating such a supplier in the installer’s vicinity.
Ability to work outdoors in sun and heat.
Willingness to travel within the assigned area in a timely manner with reliable transportation.
Have Liability Insurance (or ability to obtain such). Most marinas will require a Certificate of Insurance before any work is performed at their facility.
